Wests Tigers are committed to identifying and nurturing Indigenous young people to enter and remain within rugby league’s elite pathways competitions. The club have taken giant strides to become the first-choice destination club for Indigenous sporting talent across Australia.
In partnership with the KARI Foundation, Wests Tigers have employed Ron Griffiths, a proud Indigenous man, as one of their first-grade assistant coaches. Ron will work closely with officials on and off the field in the development of junior coaching and recruitment, Indigenous and community programs and mentor assistance to young players.
